Do you want to be around other New Hampshireans?

Manchester is the state putting up a “normal” face, everything north of there gets fiercly independent and rural pretty quick. This was the state that tried to create a libertarian utopia that failed due to a bear problem.

Love New Hampshireans, love the state, but yall are scary.

To be fair to New Hampsire: it was the libertarians across the USA who wanted to take over the state (then had to scale back their plans and took over one tiny town). The state government and the majority of state residents were not enthused by the Free State Project. However, the state’s politically-conservative roots meant that they didn’t have the cultural or administrative tools to stop that train-wreck.

Oh I’m very aware of how childish New Hampshire politics is and the bear town. I just want to hear the commenter’s reason why.
