The resolution, adopted for the 33rd consecutive year, “once again urges the states that have applied and continue to apply such laws and measures to take the necessary steps to repeal or invalidate them as soon as possible.”
I just watched a video saying the resolution was passed. Will this actually make any change to the embargo at all?
Sadly no because it doesn’t solve the fundamental issue which is the US viciousness. The UN has proven incapable and useless in stopping the US.

this is a general assembly resolution, which means that it is non-binding. the only binding resolutions are passed in the security council, where US has a veto (this is where the Israel-Palestine related resolutions have been failing to pass for the past two years if you recall). this exact general assembly resolution has passed for 33 times now.
