If only somebody had done something about it, rather than clinging to power because their ego told them that they were “the only one that could defeat Trump,” despite overwhelming data to the contrary. Maybe that person shouldn’t have backed out of the campaign far too late, and then consistently sabotaged their replacement by refusing to let her break from him on unpopular policy decisions.
