Duffy must be feeling some pressure if he’s trying to trade on Japan’s valor to pump up the Trump administration’s space policy. Why not just congratulate JAXA and leave it at that?
If you read the vision for global space advancement/leadership as “America left behind and uninvolved” then I guess it kind of makes sense?
