I have to admit, the way the bike lanes were planned in some spots in Toronto were not well thought out. for example, the bike lane on Huntingwood drive in Scarborough is imo underutilized, i never see anyone use it other than maybe the very odd biker, and the ones that use it the most if i do see anyone on it, is e-bikes/e-scooters. I think bike lanes make sense if they are installed in areas that are utilized correctly. im assuming the downtown ones are used quite frequently, but I don’t go downtown much to see that.
