The federal minister in charge of Canada Post told a parliamentary committee Thursday the recent changes to the Crown corporation’s mandate are not aimed at reducing any service to rural and remote communities where the post office is a considered a lifeline.
They keep referring to CanadaPost as a “business” and not as a service, and it fundamentally misinforms people about how it should operate. All services cost money. It’s not “loss”, it is the cost of providing a public service.
Pretty sure it’s intentional.
