    Divide the older person’s age by 2 and add 7. That’s the youngest person they can date without being creepy about it.

    This rule is commonly cited, but is also completely meaningless, as a social construct.

        Taking this half-serious for a second, it still works.

        12/2 = 6+7 = 13. Since they’re the older one, the other person is younger than 13, thus they can’t date them.

        (Two consenting adults can do whatever they like)
