I am making a snap decision to move to Ireland from Japan to take me and my three-year-old son away from ongoing domestic violence.

I would like any information anyone here has on where we could possibly stay and where I, as a teacher that specializes in teaching children, could work. Any other tips and tricks that first-timers to Ireland could use would also be helpful. We are both American citizens, but the goal is to create a permanent home in Ireland due to our current situation.

      Multiple reasons. The biggest ones being that I am primarily of Irish descent.

      Based on the research I’ve done so far, Ireland seems like a place that doesn’t have the systemic problems that we are currently suffering from.
