Officers reportedly tackled and dragged several people after authorities told demonstrators to stay in ‘protest zones’

At least 15 people were taken into custody outside the Broadview Ice detention center in the Chicago area after heated confrontations between Illinois state police and protesters on Friday.

Authorities had instructed demonstrators to remain in designated “protest zones”, but tensions escalated when officers moved to clear the roadway.

According to the Chicago Tribune, at about 8am, protesters advanced toward the building. Within minutes, dozens of troopers equipped with helmets and batons moved in to push the crowd back. Officers tackled and dragged several individuals. Much of the clash was captured on video and posted to social media.

    But …

Multi-billionaire JB Pritzker said that people had to go thru him first…

Now the police he ultimately controls are going after peaceful protestors?

Maybe this is what he meant, if you want to hurt Illinois citizens through abuse by law enforcement. You have to “go thru him” meaning you can’t do it without his approval?

At this point it’s the only interpretation that wasnt an obvious lie when he said it.
