A lot of of “old media” celebrities are big into Trump and the right wing these days. I guess it is new things being pushed for by progressives like trans rights and acceptance, even more equality for women, etc make them uncomfortable for a variety of reasons. So they retreat to something that feels safe by comparison.
For real! In the first screen of comments here I’ve seen two that mention weed as a bad thing.
Weed is making my day much more comfortable so far, and I am being productive as hell with the things I actually care about. Working on my hobby projects outside while watching the dog I’m dog sitting play with our own dogs. Then in a bit, some more time on the computer here for some LAN game time with my son.
Oh yeah, that’s true with weed as well as with every other piece of the puzzle I’ve put together over the past several years to find some peace and happiness in life.
I’ve described it as being like we all have different customized user manuals for our brains & bodies, but we don’t get a copy and have to reverse engineer it. Even in my case it’s not simply just “weed good” because some strains won’t even work well for me like my usual ones do.
I’ve had bad experiences too. It’s just very positive on the whole for me because there’s the short-term effect of being essentially a pain reliever, and the long-term benefit of knowing what it’s like to have good days again, and that makes it easier to find my way back to that state even when I’m not using any cannabis for a while.

It’s good that it works for you. I have friends with different experience. Weed is not black and white, it’s more complicated.
