Not what the article says. It says they paraded her without clothes, and recorded it. They also called her a whore in Swedish.

[EDIT: I will note that the article does not say naked, or even without clothes as I have. It says “undressed”. I don’t think it’s healthy to jump to any conclusions Thunberg has not made herself.]

The article does imply it and Gretas account leaves it open to interpretation:

        Quotes:

“Greta was then taken into a building to be searched and undressed. “The guards have no empathy or humanity, and they keep taking selfies with me. There’s a lot I don’t remember. So much is happening at once. You’re in shock. You’re in pain, but you go into a state of trying to stay calm.”

“After the flotilla activists were abducted by the IDF, Ben-Gvir filmed himself taunting them and calling them “terrorists” he “was proud that we treat ‘flotilla activists’ as terror supporters.”

Israel, needless to say, has an extensively documented record of torturing and raping individuals who’ve been given the “terrorist” label by the regime.”

        End quotes.

Sexual abuse is a fair term in order not to get into “when is it rape?” argument. But i do want to point out the combination of being stripped and horrible people in power taking selfies with you while you are naked.

Its possible they where very precisely ordered not to cross a specific line that would legally class it rape and with that silently show approval of anything up to that point.

It’s still trauma and long lasting, whether or not it became a physical thing. Still a war crime. Still accepted by the world’s nations.

Both y’all acting like there’s no overlap between sexual harassment and rape.

There are overlaps - but it doesn’t change the fundamental definition of the word.

using words that do not fit the definition creates bias and chaos. in effect you could potentially diminish people affected rape

I’m saying you’re splitting hairs over the wrong thing intentionally.

Another take: bending the definitions of words isn’t helping rape victims. This is literally NOT rape so in effect you diminish people affected it

The truth is the wrong thing to be concerned about?

What an odd thing to say.
