    Whewwwww so this sucks!

I had my subscription continuing from the US but I live in the EU now. Guess I’ll switch to a local one instead

    F1 TV email

    Hi There,

As a F1® TV Pro or Premium customer, we’re letting you know that we will be phasing out direct subscriptions to F1® TV Pro and Premium.

    Key Changes to note:

To keep watching F1® through to the end of the 2025 season, F1® TV Pro and Premium annual and monthly subscriptions and renewals are available until the following dates: Monthly Subscriptions: From December 8th this year, fans in the US will no longer be able to purchase a new F1® TV Pro or Premium monthly subscription and existing subscriptions will no longer renew. Annual Subscriptions: From October 17th this year, fans in the US will no longer be able to purchase a new F1® TV Pro or Premium annual subscription. From November 17th this year, existing F1® TV Pro or Premium annual subscriptions will no longer renew.

    Your subscription

Considering these changes, this is what it means for your F1® TV Pro monthly subscription.

Your F1® TV Pro Monthly subscription will not renew beyond 7th December 2025.

It will end on your first scheduled renewal date after 7th December 2025 unless cancelled beforehand.

    2026 Onwards

From January 2026, our new Formula 1 broadcast partner in the US will be Apple TV. Next season F1® TV Premium will continue to be available in the U.S., included with an Apple TV subscription only. You will still be able to purchase F1® TV Access, which remains available in the US.

    Thank you.

    The F1® TV Team

Importantly, as demonstrated by F1 The Movie, Apple’s ability to reach a diverse range of consumers across its powerful ecosystem presents a groundbreaking opportunity to engage new fans.

What a bunch of idiots… can they not tell that anyone can go a any movie theater to watch this or any movie and that is not the same as forcing everyone to an AppleTV subscription?!

Fuck F1… 99% of the races take place in the middle of the night, I have zero issue pirating them whenever I want to watch them. I had kept a paid subscription just because I thought the streaming service was good enough to merit it

PS: also lesson learned, NEVER go to the theater for an Apple sponsored movie… you may just make it harder to watch whatever franchise they are targeting

The company currently telling me to subscribe despite having an active subscription and watching morning show just this week?

I’ll have to read this article, but I’m curious if I’ll need to take the schooner out of dry dock.

So F1TV Premium will still be available, but I have to pay the subscription to apple instead? Am I reading this right?

Am I saving $30 a year and still getting 4K or is this going to screw current subs somehow?

What I understood is that you just get to pay the Apple TV subscription if you want the F1TV Premium content.

Yeah, I agree. I’m suspicious. This first year it might be bundled but I’m anticipating apple turns it into an upcharge by 2027. Also sucks for Pro tier subscribers, it’s an increase.

I also wonder if multiviewer is going to be able to work with this. I know I’m not the most important person here but it seems like F1 is completely killing how I watch their races.

Edit: on second look the multiviewer devs seem to think their app will work fine with apple tv but won’t know for certain till next year.

If F1TV access continues as they say, I’m expecting to be able to login to the same app and features, just with a different billing provider for the account. I’ll get back to sailing the seas if they take out the archives, data feed, multiviewer or international audio away.

Multiviewer became invaluable since the tv directors can’t seem to remember to show any battles.
