I think our priorities are entirely reasonable once we actually dig our way down to them. The problem is they’ve been buried under so many layers of late-stage capitalism bullshit you need an open pit mine to get to them. Nobody in our society went to the government and demanded “we need more business analysts in healthcare!” except for the crooks who are busy pouring bullshit all over everything to disguise the fact that they’re robbing everybody else blind once we get driven away by the smell.
