Yeah I can see how that was confusing. I’m defending the person who doesn’t want to drink black coffee. Maybe all they’ve ever had is bad coffee, so they think they just don’t like black coffee since they’ve always had to mask the taste with cream and/or sugar.
But what if they think hot coffee is the best way to improve a cup with a bit of sugar and cream in it? Wouldn’t that imply they do like coffee at least in some way?
I had a coworker make the same argument about coffee. Either you drink it black or you dont actually like coffee.
