There is an old joke, a presenter at a goverment conference talks about pavlov conditioning on mice, saying due to thier simple nature they can be conditioned to repeat certain behavior at the ring of a bell, during his presentation someones phone chimes…and everyone pulls out thier phone to check if it was thiers.
The joke was government, even corporate issued cellphones all ahave the same chime, at least it did when the joke circulated. Days of the govt issued blackberry is far behind us though. Variations of the joke refer to specific apps with recognizable tones

Yes, I know. I’m Finnish and we were a bit further in mobile infra than the rest of the world, no offense.
The joke works, but it works better when you don’t have to rely on actually committing to it.
