While asparagus does grow single shoots like this, I suspect this picture is staged. I grow asparagus and you never get that many pop up at once and all grow the same exact height. They’re also too spread out for a single plant, usually they will grow from a fairly central point per plant.

the other pic is mostly from a grocery store where its all bundled together and it was bunched together on the ground for the picture.

Wild, i didn’t think we had the weather for it, especially down at Ti tree that’s so close to the middle.
This was in like 1993, so who knows if it’s still there.
