A certain well known troll and a few overzealous .world users/mods/mega posters believe it to be true (aka, really want it to be true) and will do stupid things like this to make it seem true.
trolling accomplishes absolutely nothing and just makes community spaces worse to be in. the age old addage of how to make the internet work has been “don’t feed the trolls. block and report”
i’m taking it on good faith right now that you mean well and just don’t have experience on how to be an effective communicator. always remember, the right divides, the left unites. even if you think you’re trolling for lefty causes, by engaging in that form of rhetoric you are empowering the right wing opression. this isn’t me saying “when they go low we go high” mind you. this is about the kinds of down in the mud we should be doing. we should be disempowering their demogogues (the president is literally so fragile he has to say every man he meets is openly sobbing when it happens), not harassing individuals

I believe she was referencing the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. It’s a common talking point to use to equate the Soviets with the Nazis.
I get the individual points they just don’t connect well, its not tied together with any sort of style.
