The European Union is likely to miss its self-imposed target of expanding the infrastructure for electric cars to 3.5 million charging points by 2030. Currently, only around 910,000 charging points are accessible in all member states combined, less than a quarter of the EU Commission’s target.
Study on public EV charging in Europe
… recent EU rules require countries to install a certain number of chargers based on how many EVs they have and how far people drive. By mid-2025, most EU countries had already met or exceeded their targets, especially France, Germany, and the Netherlands. The number of chargers across Europe is expected to nearly triple by 2030.
Yep. We have a bit of a problem right now called right wing politicians, who do all in their power to sabotage anything related to building infrastructure or renewable energy.
The problem is people choosing to work for O&G, who then lobbies those politicians.
I won’t.
