Ballots got mailed Monday in most counties. Make sure you vote — that’s the only poll that really counts. Especially if you don’t want the Texas legislature to decide the balance of power in the House of Representatives.

Got my ballot in the mail yesterday. Honestly I don’t even know what else is on it, I’m pretty sure every single ad I’ve got has been about that. Thank god for those booklets explaining each measure they send out.
In my county prop 50 is the only thing on the ballot.
Yeah, 50 is the only statewide item. Some counties have local measures or offices up for election
I know, right!? It’s such a a thrill! I feel like I’m voting in another country or something. I’ve been voting in California since 1978 and this is my first time having only a single item on the ballot!
Mailed mine in this morning.
It’s just the one this time. (Unless your particular district has taken the opportunity to add something, I suppose.) I was able to get the whole thing done, sealed, signed and sent without getting distracted even once!
You’d have to be massively stupid and/or a traitor not to vote for it.
The enemies of democracy are cheating to add more representatives to their side. We would be stupid not to add more to our side. And it expires after Trump’s term. So it’s not a permanent thing. I wouldn’t be comfortable with it if it was permanent.
In a war, if you sit idly by and watch as your enemy’s army grows in size while you don’t do the same, you lose. Simple as that.

It’s antidemocratic. Yes there are consequences to Texas’ and other states’ moves, but gerrymandering California is not the answer. Gerrymandering is never the answer.
You unilaterally disarm, and therefore never get a chance to ban gerrymandering nationally. Its not great that Democrats need to do this, but the alternative is a permanent fascist state
I get Popper’s paradox. However, explicitly changing the law to make things less democratic is in itself a fascist move.
