I’m a gay man. I absolutely hate people who pander to us just as much as people who hate us.

The same should apply to trans groups, I sincerely doubt every trans individual wants to be placed on a pedestal at all times.

Result? Banned from a community.

Power trip confirmed 👍.

“waaaa everything I don’t like is bigotry”

You sound right wing as fuck.

Neutrality is looking at a trans person and not having negative nor positive feelings, they’re just people. You’re just people.

Until that gets through your thick thick skull nothing will matter in this discussion.

You sound right wing as fuck.

I never said everything i disagree with is bigotry. I am neither a liberal, neither a conservative , neither a right wing of left wing. I do not care about all those stupid labels and do not subscribe to any of those cultish ideology

Neutrality is looking at a trans person and not having negative nor positive feelings, they’re just people. You’re just people.

Nobody claimed that trans are some kind of special people

I’m redirecting this statement to you. Until that gets through your thick thick skull nothing will matter in this discussion.

Oh I don’t know, maybe when you said “nothing positive about your bigotry” as in, “asking for equal treatment is being bigoted”.

You’re not a clown, you’re the entire clown car.

You claimed that trans people are put on pedestal which is not true. If you really believed in equality you would acknowledge is that it’s minorities like trans people who are not treated equal. I never considered them special so I repeat my question where your claim about me comes from

You’re not a clown, you’re the entire clown car. You sound like a 3 year old kid

It is true, in microcosms like communities where nothing ever slightly differently opinionated can be voiced as it immediately gets struck down and the writer labelled a bigot as bad as a Nazi.

                That’s the vibe here.

If you can’t handle that that is a pedestal, where you stay locked in an echo chamber of positive reinforcement, that is your problem.

My perspective has not changed from the start, whether you label it something or other. And that is that neutrality is favourable over overly positive glitter.

People should not be celebrated or booed (well, some should, but that’s not my point here in this generalisation about normal people, and before you lash out, yes that includes trans people, fucking sigh). By that I mean that if I meet someone I shouldn’t be expected to be overly positive or negative about them, I should be expected to not give a fuck. As that is true neutrality. It’s borderline apathy, and it’s equal and egalitarian.

      Hi.

I don’t like using logical fallacies in arguments because I’m a strong believer in rhetoric and conversation. But I’m so fed up with the over-use of “strawman” lately so I’m hopping in to point out that :

“waaaa everything I don’t like is bigotry”

Is, in fact, a strawman argument. Since I’ve noticed other places in these comments where you use the term incorrectly. In this case you’ve exaggerated and stripped away any nuance in order to argue against the point you fabricated instead of the point that was made.

      And:

“Until that gets through your thick thick skull”

Is an ad hominem attack because you’re attempting to discredit their argument based on a quality unrelated to the point being made, in this case the thickness of their skull.

Cherry picking my one argument that was an obvious use of sarcasm as if it was truthful is the fucking cherry on the cake. You must think yourself very intelligent.

Next time you would disregard quotation marks, do the world a service and shut up instead.

I’m just sharing knowledge in the hope of lifting the people around me.

If you’re using logical fallacies intentionally or ironically as some kind of performance piece, by all means continue.

Oh? Did you not know how to use that one either?

Cherry picking only applies if I’m presenting a select portion of data to support my argument/narrative. In this case I’m not arguing for or against anything, so no, that isn’t an example of cherry picking.

The portion of data is your quote. Or do you lack the capacity to know that text contains information?

You’re presenting it in your argument that I said that truthfully, when it’s a quote, which no one said, meaning I’m using sarcasm about a previous comment.

You’re too far gone to understand that though. I’m sure you’d much rather keep looking in the thesaurus, so have a blast with that.

Did you not type it out? Could have sworn I copy/pasted it directly from the contextual post.

However, sarcasm is when you mean the opposite or at least not exactly what you’re saying. In this case you’d be misquoting at best, mocking at worst, except! You then attacked the misrepresentation, and at that point made it a strawman argument.

Another fun fact, walking back a previous statement by claiming sarcasm or joking can be considered a form of backpedaling.

At this point you may want to get a thesaurus, yourself.
