minus-squareLost_My_Mind@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up2arrow-down9·19 days agoAre we sure this was 1985? I’ve seen this photo before, and was told it was during the 1940s. I honestly have no way of knowing which is true.
minus-squareLost_My_Mind@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up2arrow-down4·19 days agoI said I saw the photo, not the title. If the date in the title were incorrect, would it be that out of the question that a word is also incorrect?
minus-squareNoForwardslashS@sopuli.xyzlinkfedilinkarrow-up8·19 days agoSwedes so ahead of the curve their regular 40s Nazis already had 80s fashion and skinheads.
minus-square⛓️💥@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up4·19 days agoBecause they are dressed as neonazis which is clearly shown in the photo.
minus-squareathatet@lemmy.ziplinkfedilinkarrow-up2·19 days agoPerhaps you should also read the title.
minus-squaretatann@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up7·19 days agoDoes it look like a car or clothes from the 40‘s ?
minus-squarebigfondue@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up6·19 days agoThe car on the left is definitely not from the 1940s
minus-squareValmond@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up5·19 days agoIt’s just outside my then (some 5 years later) favourite café Brokvists. So I can say that yes it’s from the eighties.
minus-squarepelespirit@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkarrow-up2arrow-down1·19 days agoWikipedia says it was 1985. I’m not sure why it’s in b&w, since there was definitely color in the 80s.
minus-squarebigfondue@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up8·19 days agoBlack and white film continued to be used after color was invented. You can even buy it today
minus-squareZJBlank@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up8·19 days agoIf the photo’s being taken for use in newspapers and it’s going to be printed in black and white, might as well just take the photo in black and white since the film’s cheaper
minus-squarepiccolo@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkarrow-up5·19 days agoBlack and white provided the highest contrast for the lowest cost.
minus-squarepelespirit@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkarrow-up1·19 days agoThis is probably the correct answer.
