I was skeptical. But you managed to take something I’m very familiar with and love, and allow me to enjoy it again, like it was the first time. That was amazing. Bravo!
This is better than the original movie and I have said so for years. I will fight on this hill.
I mean there are a lot of issues with the TMP, it was an odd script likely because it was written by a man who never really worked in movies prior (only television to my knowledge) and rather than being written from it’s inception as a two hour movie it was also adapted from a pilot of a television series, which all makes it feel kind of klunky with odd pacing.
That said recutting the movie into a 22 min streamlined version makes a lot of sense to me, no fluff only plot.

Ridiculously heavy glop of metal on one end of stick, ridiculously shaped razor sharp blade on the other is my choice!

I was hopeful that the new Nine Inch Nails Tron score would measure up to Daft Punk’s. Unfortunately, I don’t think it has.
