“Canada called me a couple of weeks ago, they want to be part of it, to which I said, ‘Well, why don’t you just join our country. You become 51 — become the 51st state — and you get it for free,’” Trump told the assembled officials.

“So, I don’t know if that made a big impact, but it does make a lot of sense.”

Trump also claimed Canada is having “a hard time up there” because “as you know, with tariffs, everyone’s coming into our country.” The president then boasted about investment leaving Canada and other countries and going into the United States, pointing to automobile plants.

FYI Donald Shitler, citizens in Canada have plate carriers and high powered rifles. You can buy them online.

Talibans peak was 100k insurgents, estimates put Canada at 1.1 million. Have fun dipshit.

Yeah, it’s not just that number of people who’d be insurgents, it’s that Canada’s a bit more advanced tech-wise than the Taliban, and the US’s defense infrastructure has predominantly NOT been engineered for decades to repel any sort of land invasions. We also look, and outside of those crazy newfies, we sound like most generic Americans, making identifying potential threats that much more difficult.

I also think a number of civilians and military would straight up revolt at the prospect of attacking a country with a century of personal and economic bonds.
