(This is, to my mild surprise, satire.)
You know it’s satire because he admits to not knowing something.
You also know it’s satire because he never once said “my father”.
I had to check these comments. Ain’t no way this could be real.
you and me both, man, you and me both.

A trump admitting they were wrong? no fucking way…
I mean, I’m not going to Nazi social media to check…
But yeah. This seems obviously fake, and we’ll never know if OP actually feel for it or thought people would know it’s sarcastic.
In any case, it’s misinformation if it’s not real.
Quick edit:
No, from their short profile I guess OP just makes fake posts
I mean, it’s a political memes community. I think it being a joke should probably be assumed.
The simulacrum is never what hides the truth - it is truth that hides the fact that there is none. The simulacrum is true.
Simulacra and Simulation, Jean Baudrillard.
That’s what gave it away for certain.
I know it’s satire. I stand by this anyway.

I mean if it were real, I’d give him props for publicly acknowledging that he was misinformed and that he made a mistake. Very few people, especially in his position, would do that (sign of weakness and woke and all that bs).

The point I’m trying to make is not about him specifically. It’s about people who, for whatever reason (regardless of whether or not you think it’s stupid or whatever your preferred adjective is) people who are grossly misinformed are not the type of people to readily admit to a mistake; especially publicly, for all to see. And if they do, we certainly don’t want to tell them that they are a worse person for not originally knowing better. That only serves to make sure that they dig their heels in further next time, and that they’ll never make the mistake of changing their point of view. And in my personal opinion we have way too many people digging their heels in on topics that really should be fluid conversations between rational adults.
And yes, there are always exceptions to the rule. That changes nothing. But in this case it’s already been pointed out that the tweets from Eric are not real to begin with. So all of this is just wishful thinking.
