    The point I’m trying to make is not about him specifically. It’s about people who, for whatever reason (regardless of whether or not you think it’s stupid or whatever your preferred adjective is) people who are grossly misinformed are not the type of people to readily admit to a mistake; especially publicly, for all to see. And if they do, we certainly don’t want to tell them that they are a worse person for not originally knowing better. That only serves to make sure that they dig their heels in further next time, and that they’ll never make the mistake of changing their point of view. And in my personal opinion we have way too many people digging their heels in on topics that really should be fluid conversations between rational adults.

    And yes, there are always exceptions to the rule. That changes nothing. But in this case it’s already been pointed out that the tweets from Eric are not real to begin with. So all of this is just wishful thinking.
