“We, as Americans, must end our complicity in the slaughter of the Palestinian people,” he wrote. “Having named it a genocide, we must use every ounce of our leverage to demand an immediate ceasefire, a massive surge of humanitarian aid facilitated by the UN, and initial steps to provide Palestinians with a state of their own.”

He now joins a small but growing list of House members including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib and Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene, as well as Vermont representative Becca Balint, who also called it a genocide earlier in the day.

“Today, I believe the Israeli government is committing a genocide against the Palestinian people,” Balint wrote in an op-ed in the Courier. “As the granddaughter of a man murdered in the Holocaust, it is not easy for me to say that.”

You said the bar for genocide has only just been reached in 2025… erasing the Nakba that started in 1947.

          Twat

Being rude AND denying a genocide won’t get you anywhere, pick a struggle.

your advice on whether there are other outrageous crimes against humanity being committed

It is not my advice and I would never speak on behalf of the Palestinians, so maybe get that clear.

Absolutely love that the part of my post that it presumably got deleted for is visible in your comment about it. That says something, doesn’t it?

Yes, that we were correct you were rude with that comment. Quoting the part where you were rude is not necessarily a breach of the rules.

Good stuff, hope you find this a productive way of engaging yourself in discussion. Would hate for you to have to see a rude word (that you hadn’t yourself posted, Obviously. You’re special and get special rules because you’re so great and we all love you)

Accepting that something is a genocide and stressing that genocide is bad but also other genocides exist doesn’t sound like denial to me but you do you

The nakba was a genocide, dumbass. Don’t blame others for your ignorance; you chose to be loud and wrong; then people smarter than you called that out.

Instead of calling people names you should do some research on the genocide and colonization of Palestinians/Palestine.

Ok numbers obviously not your strong suit. Displacement of 700k ppl, whilst obviously a tragedy on a massive scale, is not equatable to the murder of 8+ million. That is my claim. If you wish to dispute it plz tr harder than ‘genocide denier’, just because you happen to care more about this one.

I’m gonna spell it out nice and slow for you: the nakba was a genocide.

Calling it a “displacement” when it lead to the total ethnic removal of a group of people is actually trying to mislabel what everyone (except you) understands happened.

Genocides include: killing, rape, and displacement. All of which happened in the nakba. Genocide is when you want to remove people from a land by means of displacement and murder based entirely on the identity of the victims.

People get displaced due to wars and natural disasters; we don’t call those genocides because there is no fucking desire to destroy/remove an entire group of people based on their identity.

Genocide= people are being killed and removed because of their race/religion/ethnicity

I cannot explain it any simpler, if you still don’t understand then you’re either stupid, rotten, or some combination of the two.

Mate. The point I’m here to make is : calling what’s happening in Palestine the worst genocide since the Holocaust of the Jewish people is not a strictly accurate claim by most metric I would expect to measure it by (total death count or proportion of population being the two most obvious ones, hence Cambodia because that was fuckinc rough). Will it eventually achieve that notorious level of savagery? I hope not. I hope the cunts are shamed into behaving. But it behoovs you you remember that there are many many terrible things going on and which have already gone on, and some sweeping statements with no basis in anything quantitative can look very much like erasure.

Then say 2 fucking million. Everyone can do the math and no one dick measures genocides with percents.

Jesus, admit you’re wrong and fuck off.

That’s Cambodia I’m talking about btw. It’s one of the other genocides. Of which there are far too many to be remotely comfortable. One is evil incarnate. Do not think for a second I am trying to make excuses.
