I’m so confused by these reports. How did he engrave so many words on a bullet casing? Does he have some industrial grade laser engraver or is he just a natural craftsman?

Yeah that’s actually very true I didn’t rly think about that. I mean the credibility is up there with most other western media outlets, that is to say, very lacking.

I think if it was a 50 cal (I don’t remember what caliber it was), those things r pretty big, if you used a dremel tool with a rly small ball bit and some extremely steady hands, I assume u could do that (not american tho idk how bullet casings work). Still seems like a lot of effort to write anyway.

Looked it up, it was a .30-06 caliber bullet, a lot smaller than a 50 cal and would be nearly impossible even with a dremel tool. This is probably news-media hysteria. Like when the DPRK suddenly bans smiling and laughing for the 3rd time, one Media organisation copies another, copies another, copies another, etc.

If this is what the police report actually says than I think there needs to be photos or smth, cuz after thinking about it for a bit it does sound kinda outlandish.

Edit for further context: A .30-06 casing is around 2 inches long and around half an inch wide (5 x 1.27cm), keeping in mind it is also a cylinder, not a flat surface. The “Bella ciao” message was 9 words totalling 45 characters (incl spaces). You would need to be a god damn artisan to do that by hand.

I doubt it was on the bullet (to be pedantic). The casing for rifle rounds is pretty big, you can conceivably scratch a couple words on it. I don’t know if I believe this tho. It’s a lot of words, and a lot of effort.

Sorry I said bullet meant casing. You could seldom fit even a couple letters on actual the bullet itself haha. But yeah it’s probably too many words to fit on a 50 cal casing, but definitely too many for a .30-06. I looked it up and it’s like the size of my pinky or ring finger.

Yeah, the whole story on the suspect seems way too tidy and contrived, and US cops have lied plenty before, nothing stopping them lying some more. It reminds me a lot of the case with the health insurance CEO, how they caught the suspect so fast based on someone supposedly recognizing them at a fast food place or something. Now with this one, we are supposed to believe they admitted what they did to a parent who shared it with a youth pastor who contacted federal marshals. And had a convenient (for LE) discord account pointed at by unnamed “friends” with messages that pointed to weapon location and meme level markings on bullets. All of this investigation happening within something like 48 hours of the incident? There are aspects of it that are certainly not impossible, but the whole picture of it together is a very convenient package for the fascists.
