How is inflation + price gouging significantly different from tariffs + price gouging? In both cases companies have an excuse to raise prices and no incentive to lower them again.
Price go up, they never go down. Food Companies will not drop their prices to what they were before tariffs. We already seen this with post-Covid
That was inflation + price gouging. There was never any reason prices would go down after Covid. With this there is, though I doubt they will.
