Like how Republicans are currently dispatching National Guard from states with high crime, to states with lower crime. Claiming that it’s about crime. On the face of it it doesn’t make any sense. Unless you understand that they’ve turned the word crime into a dog whistle / code word for black/brown/Jewish/liberal etc. When it comes to Republicans everything is about racism and white supremacy. Granted echoing is a bit more esoteric and slightly less common code / dog whistle from them.
