My dad started falling down the hole with Rush Limbaugh in the late 90s. Downward spiral into right wing shithole media ever since. Now he’s old, single for decades, been hospitalized for over a month, and is indicating he’s sad that I don’t talk to him often anymore and that he’s lonely.
It’s a long game, but sometimes you have to distance yourself from someone behaving awfully before they can realize the error of their ways. It can literally take decades.
Yeah, mine got on the Rush pipeline back in the day too. My mom is still with him but apparently he has either gotten way worse since the election or she has finally just gotten tired of hearing it.
