    Because kph is the most recognisable term to most people without having to stop and think about it for a couple seconds

      No it’s not. Countries that properly to metric cultural eons ago refer to it as km/h in signage, speedometers, and literature.

      Ok. This has to be something that’s different in America and Europe then. At least here, in Finland, we always write km/h.

      Because I was one who needed to pause for a second until I got what kph meant.
