I’m not sure if people would enjoy flying in the cargo area. Even if there is a dog next to them. It would be easy extra money for the airline though.
Yeah, fuck people with allergies! They dont need to fly anywhere ever again!
Exactly! You get it. We could eradicate the weaker humans with allergies.
This has some minor issues, like people with pet allergies or who don’t like dogs in general. I propose a dog plane, where all the middle seats have dogs. Additionally we can have a cat plane, where there’s a bunch of chill kitties on the plane to curl up in people’s laps
5 mins after takeoff, there will be diarrhoea on the aisle.
Am I the only one who isn’t a huge fan of dogs / pets in general? Everytime I pet someone’s dog or go to a house with a dog it’s always covered in fur slobber and grease from the fur. And after I pet the dog my hand smells awful
Depends on the dog and the coat type. Some dogs have short, greasy hair, while others have longer, fluffy hair.
Also depends on how often they get washed. Some coats will also stay clean for longer and dry off nicely. My dog still smells like fresh shampoo from a week ago.
As for slobber, it’s very breed dependent. Some breeds will slobber a lot, others will not.
If you want a good example, look for a low-oil double coat breed like a border collie or Aussie, they tend to be soft, dry well (smells nice), and they don’t slobber.
My parents had a doberman, and as much as I loved her, her coat was greasy and felt like stiff needles compared to my border collie.
My dog is an aussie mix and it’s crazy how clean she smells with only monthly baths. I grew up with a golden and then a pittie and they smelled awful anytime they got wet.
Yeah, and if I had to go on a plane full of dogs, I’d sell my ticket and take an other or go by train.
Pets are cool, but not in an enclosed space with a bunch of em, in which you are locked for several hours.
The general theme in media and social media leans heavy on pets lately, but yeah, it’s not for everyone.
I love certain dogs, but the run of the mill pet on the plane is a bad experience. Either because of a bad pet, or a bad owner. Service animals are an exception, of course.
Put in tiers for what kind of dog.
Cute friendly golden retriever: you pay extra.
Cupcake the chihuahua: you get a discount.
Swap that with a cat and I’m sold.
Good luck getting a cat to stay in one place for the duration of the flight
It’s easy if you have a chill one. They sleep most of the day.
As an aside, they enforce the rule that there’s only one dog, cat or baby per set of 3 seats. This is because there’s one extra oxygen mask per set of three seats.
Can you imagine if the air pressure was suddenly lost mid flight, and then you gotta get a freaking out cat out of its cage and hold a mask over its face? Has anyone actually ever done this and lived to tell the tale?Well, they’d need to charge at least the full fare plus dog upkeep to break even.
As long as I’m not paying to have to keep away from your little toy I’m fine.
How much extra for a barkless flight?
