Am I the only one who isn’t a huge fan of dogs / pets in general? Everytime I pet someone’s dog or go to a house with a dog it’s always covered in fur slobber and grease from the fur. And after I pet the dog my hand smells awful
Depends on the dog and the coat type. Some dogs have short, greasy hair, while others have longer, fluffy hair.
Also depends on how often they get washed. Some coats will also stay clean for longer and dry off nicely. My dog still smells like fresh shampoo from a week ago.
As for slobber, it’s very breed dependent. Some breeds will slobber a lot, others will not.
If you want a good example, look for a low-oil double coat breed like a border collie or Aussie, they tend to be soft, dry well (smells nice), and they don’t slobber.
My parents had a doberman, and as much as I loved her, her coat was greasy and felt like stiff needles compared to my border collie.
My dog is an aussie mix and it’s crazy how clean she smells with only monthly baths. I grew up with a golden and then a pittie and they smelled awful anytime they got wet.

Yeah, and if I had to go on a plane full of dogs, I’d sell my ticket and take an other or go by train.
Pets are cool, but not in an enclosed space with a bunch of em, in which you are locked for several hours.
The general theme in media and social media leans heavy on pets lately, but yeah, it’s not for everyone.
