    Advertising your book in a presentation suggests that the organizers are backing it or vouching for it in some way. Using copy written material opens up the organizers and the presenter to litigation. A “holy shit!” sticker sounds fun, but there’s gonna be a stickler in any group.

      I’ll give you the copyright one but the book mention = conference endorsement is absolute horseshit. Have you ever met a real human being that thinks that? The sticklers can go fuck themselves. Don’t bow to the tyranny of one religious nut job. They have no power but pretend otherwise.

        They were conferences for rich people to trick themselves into feeling like they were doing good things for the world.

        Whiners, no. But overinflated egos and a strong desire to be seen as serious professionals, yes. Image image image.
