If anything, it was mostly Europe and Angela Merkel’s fault for wanting that sweet Russian energy. Did you expect Obama to go against the whole world and attack Russia or something unilaterally? Would the US Congress even approve anything like that? Europe is barely doing shit now to help Ukraine, and Ukraine is literally at war for its survival.
