Climate change is contributing to the global rise of Lyme disease. But many physicians are struggling to recognise its symptoms.

Shame simply eradicating these pests isn’t practical, there are so many organisms on earth that could do with there being less of, with these up near the top with mosquitoes and fungi. Vaccine will have to be our best next bet. Fucked that we already had one but it was lost to culture wars.

Seriously, I am a huge fan of many types of fungi. Not just the ones I can eat.

Yeah, dude must not realize that without fungi, the white ecosystem breaks down…or rather, won’t break down

I’m ok with fried mushrooms but I hate the concept of their genus quite a bit. Just freaky innit.

Yeah that’s one of their less pleasant qualities. Whole ‘mortality’ thing is pretty icky tbqh, I don’t really want to be reminded of death and things decaying and being broken down, all I see is our failure to cure death and be reminded of the bickering surrounding even the very idea of curing disease whether covid, obesity or death.

They’re so fucking icky I don’t know what to tell you. Maybe they belong in a lab somewhere, just not about the place.

You can eliminate the mosquito species that sting humans. There are plenty of other types of mosquitoes to feed the bats and birds.

The mosquito species that sting humans are prolific pollinators.
