It’s a bit harsh but yeah… Looking at the US from a distance I’ve been saying it is turning in some sort of weird industrial/corporate dictatorship resembling a third world country for a decade now.

Only thing I ever got back was, 'murica is the best country in the world".

And they still are saying that to this day…

It’s been that way for a very long time. Look at the wealth gap during the recession, look at the lifestyle gap there, and you can see just how much power and influence corporations have. It’s a country built on private business exploiting the working class in whatever new and innovative way is the trend for the season.

Businesses own the country and they always have. It’s worse now, by a lot, but it’s not different.

It’s not harsh, it’s exactly what it is.

Couple that with on the one hand the 2A gun nuts that always wanted guns to protect against tyranny being the ones pushing for a tyrant and on the other hands generations of Americans that pride themselves for being the country of men like in the movies, who step up and make the ultimate sacrifice for everyone else and… Crickets…

Americans barely protest even, let alone take real actual action. Even the protests have been blips at best.

What is it Americans? Are you too scared? Too tired to fight, or did you simply never really care? Do something!
