Another unique combat operation — the first of its kind in the history of the Iron Brigade. One FPV drone destroyed a concrete bridge!

The structure had long been used by the Russian army to transfer equipment and personnel. Moreover, the bastards mined the bridge: probably afraid of a breakthrough by Ukrainian units.

The planted TM-62 anti-tank mines became a great gift for the strike drone battalion (BBD). The drone with explosives essentially acted as a detonator. The result — an epic scene!

I would think they could destroy a bridge if they were being forced away from it without needing to set explosives on a bridge they are, presumably, still using.

I mean, good, I hope Russia keeps doing things like that. Still. Seems odd to me.

It’s quicker and more effective. It takes time to get a bomber loaded and in the air. Also, they’ve been trying to destroy a bridge in Kherson for more than a week and it’s still very useable.

Oh I wasn’t thinking about bombers. I was thinking more like ground forces just firing a rocket at the supports if they are forced away from the bridge, but I guess that would be significantly less reliable.

Rocket won’t do shit. You need people with charges to go in and mine it. If opponent is close, that sapper group could meet enemy fire.

Destroying a bridge is very very difficult. Except if you can get the supports down. But that’s usually not very easy because they are covered by the bridge.
