Zelensky’s statement comes shortly after US President Donald Trump hailed a meeting between his special envoy Steve Witkoff and Putin as “highly productive”.
He’s primarily traveled to friendly countries. Ones that have incentives to ensure he is safe.
There’s no reason that a face-to-face meeting with Zelensky couldn’t take place in such a country.
The nuclear arsenal and perhaps just a few conventional balistic missiles targeted at major population centers of the guest country are usually enough to guarantee the safety of politicians of major military powers.
