I don’t know, every news story I read on this said “Mastercard and Visa”. I don’t see how whether they are technically considered “processors” or “networks” matters to me or the issue.

You’re able to purchase pornhub subscriptions with your visa/mastercard card (which can only go through the designated network on your card), so why wouldn’t you be able to purchase other type of adult games? Not saying they’re not at fault for anything, but the whole fucking payments industry is complicated as hell with a ton of different layers between different companies and anyone of them could’ve been the ones to cause this issue. People are just circle jerking on Visa and MC because they’re the biggest dogs in the chain
