I like pretty much all of the Hickman books that ive read, so probably a little biased, but i thought this series was great. I didn’t feel like there were any characters that were wasted, which was surprising given the enormous cast introduced through the series. The world building is sort of bleak, but I also found the specific set pieces, like Armistace, to be really beautifully developed. My impression is that Dragotta’s art improved over the series run, and Hickman’s writing stayed consistently good.
