Well, self-depreciation used to be something of a national pastime. Especially before joining the EU. Can’t really deny that. We came through a lot as a nation and it shows.

We are slowly getting over that though. In some cases unfortunately we begin to overcompensate as well. We’ll get over it I suppose.
