Anecdotally, I’m 54 and have never known a bi man. Yeah, there were deep in the closet last century, but still, I’ve known loads and loads of gay people. No idea how that works.
I’d assume that a lot of them are trying to stay under the radar, especially in older generations; it’s easier for them than for homosexual people, and half of them are probably in heterosexual relationships anyway. AFAIK newer generations like gen Z are much more open about it, but even those might not open up about it to older people.
Anecdotally I’ve spoken to at least four and significantly more gay and ace people who are likely to qualify as male for this survey. (Men and amab people questioning)
There are more bi guys than society recognizes though.
