Oh, okay. That’s what needed. More sick and dead people here. Great job, Republicans.
If you know a republican, tell them about this shit. Be brave, fellow Americans, or we will all be next.

Stop referring to the Republican. party, it is dead. The current party does not honor or respect ANY of the tenets of the Republican party - Smaller government, lower taxes, family values, fiscal responsibility, strong defense, strong national security, etc.
The Republican party is as dead as the Whigs. They are the MAGA Party now, and should always be referred to as such. The Republican Party is now just a historical reference.
Smaller government - p25 writers control the us, lower taxes for the wealthy, family values based on Christian straight white men, ice keeping straight white men safe… these are values from puritan times - making us “great” again.
…the person who has credibly fucked little girls is saying who belongs in this country?..
He has a history of putting things where they don’t belong. It’s something he’s apparently very perturbed and twisted about.
…i like you…
Everyone who works for ICE should be arrested
*and deported
to space
in 3D
by means of cannon
Their day will come.
When?
If I were deported after an ER visit, do you think I’d be paying my bills? Seems like this will hurt hospitals bottom line more than they considered. But fucking over immigrants is worth causing businesses harm, right? Smh
Haven’t we learned by now that Trump doesn’t give a fuck about the economy
My name is “John Doe.” No, I don’t have any ID of any kind, sorry.
I’m sure they’ll get around to just denying life-saving emergency care right at the point of service.
Thankfully it’s still illegal for a hospital to deny anyone life-saving emergency care tho, so it’s good for people to know they have this option to not give their name.
It’s embarrassing that we aren’t delivering care even just at the level of care of emergency Medicaid as a universal anymore though.
What about the hospital pumping the guy with morphine and then saying, “I dunno! He had a heart attack!”.
What about the old fashioned strategy of “Pay up right now or I keel you”? And if the guy pays up, then he gets deported.
You joke but Ive been visited by the billing department while I was on a gurney in the ER, to ask me how I planned on paying today. That was with insurance. God that pissed me off typing that out. Screw the US health system.
They wanted me to discuss insurance with them while my lungs were fucked up by pneumonia. It was very frustrating.
They come any other time?
I doubt this will add a noticeable amount more non-paying patients It’s already a lot.
As a country, we made a law that the ER has to treat you no matter what regardless of your financial status. That is an ultimate backstop: if people are about to die, as a society we decided that they should not if there is a means to prevent it.
Medicaid is there to allow some people to go to regular doctors to save a couple of bucks vs. the ER. And it also pays for a lot of nursing homes.
I guess what I’m saying here, is the headline is kinda misleading. ICE wants the data, true, so they can find deportation targets. But it’s probably more about inflicting additional cruelty, forcing people to ERs instead of clinics; or cutting funding to health care providers and forcing rural hospitals to close.
Didn’t Tennessee just decide to let their professionals deny care to people because they don’t agree with their “lifestyle”? Is it going to matter if they are in ER?

On April 24th, Tennessee’s 2025 Medical Ethics Defense Act went into effect. It gives physicians, hospital systems and insurers, among others, the legal right to deny healthcare to patients based on religious, moral or ethical beliefs. There are no protections for people in rural areas with limited options. There’s no requirement to refer patients elsewhere. And there’s no legal recourse. The woman at the town hall explained that her representatives are not responsive to her questions, even as she repeatedly calls Sen. Marsha Blackburn. When she reached staff at Sen. Bill Hagerty’s office, they told her, “he’s not obligated to listen to his constituents.”
I was in the ER recently. I’m going to make an unofficial estimate that 50% were citizens,
Did you go around checking their documents or something?
Or were they just too brown for you to accept that they might be a citizen?
I’m not thinking of a ton of reasons to leave that comment.
