The Dinah Project says the report is based on a review of evidence including first-hand testimony from a survivor of an attempted rape and 15 former hostages held in Gaza, as well as accounts from witnesses to sexual assaults.

It lays out what the group describes as “a legal blueprint for prosecuting these crimes, even when direct attribution to individual perpetrators is impossible”.

Hamas has denied its forces committed sexual violence against women or mistreated female hostages.

However, a UN mission concluded in March 2024 that there were “reasonable grounds” to believe that conflict-related sexual violence occurred during the 7 October attack in multiple locations, including rape and gang rape, and that there was “convincing information” that hostages had been subjected to sexual violence, including rape and sexualised torture.

Ohh, its Hamas doing the genocide. I was completely fooled by the IDF livery on their F-35s.

    So crafty, those Hama’s.

If you actually read the article, and what it links to supposed ‘disproving’ the claims of sexual violence, it leads to…

          https://www.nbcnews.com/world/israel/hamas-israel-sexual-violence-rape-war-oct-7-rcna217401

She added that the U.N. special commission appointed to investigate "found patterns indicative of sexual violence against Israeli women at different locations. The Commission was also unable to independently verify specific allegations of sexual and gender-based violence due to Israel’s obstruction of its investigations."

In March 2024, a report compiled by Pramila Patten, the U.N. Special Representative on sexual violence in conflict, stated that it had found “reasonable grounds” to believe some victims of the Hamas-led attacks on Israel on Oct. 7 were raped and sexually assaulted.

There was “clear and convincing” information that some of those taken captive were subjected to sexual violence, the U.N. team of experts said in their report, including rape and sexualized torture — violence it said “may be ongoing.”

          … oh.

The UN, however, has stated multiple times that it does not have evidence of systematic sexual abuse by Hamas or any other militant group on October 7, 2023. A top United Nations official issued a statement last week that stands in direct contradiction to the new Israeli report.

            Oh…

That’s from the blog post, which cites the article I linked - which says nothing of the sort.

But I understand that facts aren’t important when there’s a narrative to peddle. Misinformation is okay as long as it’s against Bad Camp, huh?

By “misinformation” you mean Dinah Project or some other kind of Israeli propaganda? I just call these “*** (removed to avoid comment being deleted again by mods) *** lies” but each to his own.

Even if that was true, it would in no way excuse the actual genocide Israel is committing.

If only Israel had spent all these years empowering the people asking for coexistence rather than helping Hamas seem like the Palestinian’s only option. Maybe then they could’ve prevented October 7th and saved their own people over the glory of an ethnostate.

Hamas is a monster fed by genocidal Zionists to create the pretense for ethnic cleansing. No identity or nationality will ever be immune to fascism, and I only hope most Israelis in the future will admit that’s what Zionism ultimately was. Then again, given the amount of Americans who don’t admit that our country was built on genocide, I’m far from hopeful.
