Generation Z, born between 1997 and 2012, has been labeled as the "glass generation." The awareness of this population group regarding mental and physical health has led many to accuse them of being lazy or overly sensitive.
Generational names like the greatest, boomer, gen x, millennial, gen z were created so that companies know how to market to you. Get ready for a whole lot of marketing to you for payday loans, low interest credit cards and other kinds of financial scams, because they now have put you in that category. I’m sorry you have to work so much, it doesn’t help anyone that you’re not paid a living wage except the ones marketing to you.
Gen X didn’t care about a name so they left it as X. We were like, whatever. Advertisers hated my generation and still do. We just don’t care.
It’s not that Gen X didn’t care, it was that no one else cared. You do have a name, it’s the Forgotten Generation.

Advertisers do not hate Gen x. They do not care about Gen x. The name just makes it easier to target by demographic. Gen x is as marketable as any other generation.
