I found many neocons were Trotskyite in their youth.And neocons have passion in interventionist policy as Trotskyite in the world revolution.

    1. The Soviet Union should’ve done more to export the revolution to other countries

    2. Because they didn’t do this, the Soviet Union betrayed the revolution

    3. Because they betrayed the revolution, they were basically the worst thing ever, worse even than capitalist countries like the US

    4. Because the US is the lesser evil, it should export the revolution freedom and democracy to other countries.

    Trotskyists just want to invade countries and call it liberation, it’s really a short jump into becoming neocos imo.

    Some names would help here… I know Reagan was famously left-leaning in his younger years, as was Jeb Bush, but other than that I can’t think of any ex-Trot neocons.

      This is simply not true. Read William Blum’s Killing Hope. Pseudosocialists represented a minor source of anticommunism, yet in many such cases they were funded by the CIA, which in turn is a product of the upper classes. I doubt that you’ll find more than a couple of billionaires who claim to be communists.
