Doctor Who could remain off-air for the rest of the decade, a notable insider has suggested, as concerns grow over the long-running show's immediate future.
Turns out that you can’t attract an audience by skimping on developing your main characters in favor of bringing back a bunch of random shit from the 1970s
I mean I think watching the season it felt like we were building to something fun. Even the penultimate episode, while being a bunch of random shit, was interesting. The problem is the last episode was just absolute garbage. It felt rushed with tons of cut scenes and context. Then after main story was over we got a weird season long story in 15 minutes plus radical character changes.
However all of the most crappy stuff happened AFTER they realized they weren’t getting renewed by Disney.
So it’s more like they shot themselves in the foot, and then did it again.
