You’ll have to try the recipe a few times to tweak it. First guess is maybe too much water, or you used the wrong kind of yeast

I panicked and cut the bake short when I saw it touching the glass. I forgot the salt which I’ve read helps restrict the raise so I assume that was the issue.

The crust had started to form but the crumb was not quite raw. I tasted the crust anyway; it was bland I assume also because I forgot the salt but was still tasty with butter 😅

Looks like cotton candy. You definitely messed up the recipe. Maybe try a ready mix first to see how your machine performs before switching to your own recipes

Yup - I forgot the salt. It was the basic recipe that came with the machine other than that.

When you cut the top part off was it fine? I had something similar happen when I put a bit to much in. Was supposed to be 3 1/4 max in mine and I used a 3 3/4 cup recipe. Everything that fit the pan looked find after I took the top off

I panicked when I saw it touching the glass and bailed on the bake. I forgot the salt which I’ve read helps limit the rise so I assume that was the problem.

Mine will just barely touch that glass and stick to it (even following the recipe) so I’ll grease it a bit ahead of time for a nicer release when popping the lid.

Use the timer function to wake up to freshly baked bread; it’s amazing
