I came up with a riddle and they claimed I was violating a rule. I argued that I was not and got permabanned. It was my first ever post there lol. I only posted there because there’s not really a comparable Lemmy sub. Some mods are just so petty and stupid.
I dont think shaming people for using corporate social media will make them more likely to drop corporate social media. But even if it works, do we really want people to use Lemmy because we shamed them and not because the actually really good reasons to use it?
It’s a matter of utility. I checked Lemmy for a Riddles community and it’s a dead zone, so I went to Reddit for a one-off. Otherwise I only use Reddit these days for HeroQuest stuff because there’s zero of that on here and I sure as shit won’t ever go back to Facebook where way too many still dwell.
